A New Season, A New Direction
Hello friends,
It’s been a while since our last post. So much has been happening both in and out of the grove — and while it's been a whirlwind, it’s the kind of busy we’re grateful for. You know what they say: idle hands are the devil’s tools… and ours have been anything but idle.
For those who may not know, we both work full-time jobs on top of keeping the grove going. And let me tell you — it’s been busy all around! We love the work, but we certainly don’t love going quiet on you, and for that, we apologize.
That said, the time spent in the grove gave us space to reflect on the website and our goals. Growing in North Florida can be tricky — between the heat, humidity, pests, and storms — but it can be done. We’ve learned a lot through trial, error, and persistence. While we’ve shared some of that knowledge in blog posts, it’s becoming clear that it’s time for a change.
So here’s what’s coming:
- 🌱 Plant-Specific Growing Guides: We’ll be adding a new section to the site focused on what we’ve learned for each tree, shrub, herb, and flower — tailored to growing in North Florida.
- 🌿 A More Personal Blog: The blog will shift into more of a storytelling space — where we share seasonal updates, future plans, special events, and reflections from life on the land.
We’re excited to grow this space alongside the grove, and as always, we’re grateful to have you with us.
More soon,
– The Grove & Garden Team
